The idea to create Milk Teeth came after Newell-Hanson began dressing her eldest in hand-me-down Korean kid’s clothes from a friend. One of her friends was also dressing her child in pieces from Korean brands thanks to a trip from Seoul. The world of kids’ clothes tapped into Newell-Hanson’s knack for discovering new brands, something that harkened back to the days when she worked at magazines like British Vogue. “We’re really excited to be growing and starting to bring on some of the many independent kids labels and makers which we’ve discovered.” Newell-Hanson is also designing her own in-house label. “We’re just starting to design our own in-house line of pieces too,” she says. “So, I’m finally putting my fashion design degree to its intended use.”
